The word ‘busy’ is an understatement for me. I’m employed working various shift patterns yet I still find so much time to create new and update existing projects. As I have various sites and accounts online it can get a little confusing, for me at least! Here you can see and visit all my current site projects with a little history behind each one.
Over the years I’ve designed most of the graphics, logos and icons used on my pages and sites as its something I enjoy doing. Sometimes I struggle to think out of the box and other times I excel myself in creating simple and engaging graphics. Take a look at my best concept and graphic art on Arbitor5.com.
City of Ryde (2012)
As a gamer and an aspiring designer I find Minecraft a relaxing way to unlock my creative freedom.
The map, made on the Xbox 360 version, was created when Minecraft first came to the Xbox in 2012. The first version didn’t have creative mode so myself and a few mates helped duplicate materials through a loop hole at the time. Once creative mode was installed in an update later on the real development of my city (Ryde) began.
As I watched my city grow and change over the months I eventually started documenting the progress, to do this I created a site to upload screenshots for others to view but mainly for myself as a central hub and reference point. The site acts as a ‘council’ website and offers services such as maps, bus routes and recent developments.
My channel offers various gaming clips and matches from Halo to Star Trek. Although I haven’t uploaded any new videos for a while, this year I plan to upgrade my Ryde Council project gallery section from screenshots to videos.
These videos will not only show how I continue to build and expand my city but also provide guidance on structures and road design. Stay tuned to my twitter feed for updates on this.
My car is a Mazda MX5. She’s black, a roadster coup mk3.5 and called Misty. I love MX5s and knew I wanted one at some stage so I bought one when I had the opportunity to do so. Some MX5 owners mod their cars with elegant kits and repaints and I wanted to do the same with mine. This is more of a personal blog which I update with my lastest modifications and future upgrades.
Buses are another interest of mine, OMSI is one of the most popular bus simulators about with DLC and community buses and maps being created all the time. I used to play the game a fair bit however the cities and maps are usually based in Germany. As a U.K. resident I wanted to drive buses with liveries from my own city which marked the birth of OMSI-Brighton.
The site is mainly a gallery and download platform for other users to view and install bus ‘repaints’ that I had created although my versions were not as detailed compared to other community repaints. This project is not currently updated but not ceased either.
